Egypt has joined Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in complying with the Arab League?s Cairo resolution to recall Ambassadors from Syria.
Syria withdrew its Ambassador from Cairo earlier on Sunday two days after an angry demonstration outside its Embassy compound in the Egyptian capital took place. The demonstrators reiterated accusations made by the Egyptian government which claimed that the Syrian authorities were using military force against civilians.

US drones conduct reconnaissance operations in Syrian sky

US drones are operating in the skies over Syria, monitoring the Syrian military?s attacks against opposition forces and civilians, NBC News reports Sunday referring to a source with the Pentagon.
The source denies that this surveillance was in preparation for US military intervention.
The source says that the White House wants to collect the visual evidence for a widespread international response.
According to NBC News the White House is considering possibilities to conduct humanitarian missions in Syria but does not want to be involved in a new military conflict.

Moscow reacts to UN report on Syria

UN Secretary General should send a group of experts to Syria to carry out unbiased assessment of the country?s humanitarian situation, Russia`s deputy foreign minister Gennady Gatilov wrote on Twitter.
His post comes after United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Navy Pillay said that the scale of government?s crackdown indicates that crimes against humanity have occurred in Syria.
Russia`s human rights envoy to the UN, Konstantin Dolgov, earlier said that sources used by Pillay in her report offer a one-sided approach to the situation in Syria.
